I have always loved the feel of polished wood so took up wood-turning some years ago (10)
I find it extremely satisfying.With normal woodwork you often have to be waiting of glue drying overnight. With woodturning one can spend a pleasant evening in the shed and come back with complete finished article.
the feel of it is as nice as the look and no problem getting rid of the finished articles as everyone seems to like them
