If you like the outdoors, you might like to try Geocaching. it is where you use a hand held GPS to find places that you did not know were there. and most have items that you can trade from one cache to another.

- Stamp collecting! You learn a lot of really interesting things from stamps, and the people you meet are awesome. I’ve met a TV actor, a professional athlete, a radio announcer, more doctors and teachers than you can imagine, a retired executive of the World Bank, an ex-ambassador, and even a retired spy!

- Reading, knitting, and making jewelery are all fun.
- Scrapbooking is my favorite. There are so many reasons why – the finished product shows my personality, it is a way to recapture memories, it makes terrific gifts for friends and family, crops allow you to meet lots of people, it is something you can do alone or with others, you can do it at your own pace, you can do it when your schedule allows (ever go bowling at 2 a.m.?), you can do it on any range of budgets, etc….
- Genealogy. Finding out more about where your family came from can be fascinating and you may find living relatives you never knew you had. The best discovery would be finding out you are related to a famous person in history.
- I make jewelry. Not just the beaded stuff–I’m taking classes in metalsmithing. I get to play with fire a lot.

taking photo’s and printing them. - Would like to start dancing as a hobby. Any advice/pointers?
You should go with the dance and the MUSIC that you are most comfortable with… Different people start out differently… although Salsa is fun, there are different levels of beginners… Some people pick-up the rhythm quickly but are not good with learning the moves and others are the opposite; they know the moves but their rhythm and timing is not so good… If you like Latin Dancing, Merengue is the easiest to begin and then later you could begin to take Salsa lessons… But from what you have written, I get the feeling that you are more comfortable with Indian or Middle Eastern and for YOU that may be the easier types of dances to learn. Once you know a couple of dances other dances are easier to learn. - Would like to start dancing as a hobby. Any advice/pointers?
