What are your interests? You could read some books, join a club, start writing a journal, take up knitting, put puzzles together… The main thing is to pick something you like to do.
Rockhounding is my fav summer hobby…I have found some great rocks and it’s nice to be outside.
Also, gardening….flowers, shrubs, vegetables…all can be rewarding!
Canoeing and kayaking have become very popular.

I don’t know where you live, but last summer, my neighbors and I followed butterflies and collected the eggs. Then we raised them until their chrysalis opened and let them go. You just have to know which plants the butterflies eat when they are caterpillars. I believe most only live on one particular plant when they are little ones.

Take apart a bicycle to custom paint, and rebuild. Use your hands, use some tools, can do outside, use some creativity. And have pride in your own handywork in the end.
